The incumbent will be an integral member of the HR leadership team with responsibility for developing and maintaining the company’s human resource strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan; should lead human resource and industrial relations practices that will provide an employee-oriented and high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality and productivity.



1. Work collaboratively with the management team to streamline systems and responsibilities for organisational development to include organizational structure and job design.

2. Manage the staffing requirements and the recruitment process for direct and outsourced labour.

3. Responsible for ensuring the execution of orientation and training programmes towards achieving efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Manage the performance appraisal systems, ensuring timely evaluations and where applicable, determine appropriate corrective measures for improving performance.

5. Work collaboratively with the Group Human Resource management team and the Payroll department to effectively manage employee compensation and benefits, including insurance and retirement schemes, meal allowances and educational assistance.

6. Manage the staff canteen and concessionaire service to ensure proper maintenance of the facility and good quality food service to employees.

7. Manage the internal communication process by conducting general staff meetings; participate in departmental meetings and ensure effective dissemination of information across all levels.

8. Oversee employee safety and occupational health initiatives through participation in the Company’s disaster preparedness and emergency planning programmes.

9. Support the Company’s food safety programmes and manage personnel related requirements.

10. Collaboratively manage the Company’s collective bargaining process and Industrial Relations matters.

11. Provide guidance to functional managers on employee relations, grievance procedure, disciplinary code and the requirements of the labour laws.

12. Prepare and manage the HR operational budget



1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management with Human Resource Management major.

2. Minimum five (5) years working experience in Human Resource Management, preferably in a unionized environment.

3. Knowledge of Industrial Relations practices and procedures, working collaboratively between Company and Trade Unions and/or staff associations

4. Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications

5. Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems software
