Food Service Sales Executive

THE ROLE

Responsible to deliver the sales and distribution objectives for the distribution channel, through effective selling and the leveraging of strong relationships in the on-premise channel (Hotels, restaurants, eateries, etc.)

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops a strategic plan for the channel (portfolio, pricing, customers)
Executes the strategic initiatives for the channel to maximize sales and distribution of the brands.
Develops and manages budget for the channel
Supervises and guides the On-Trade sales force to achieve sales and distribution targets profitably
for the channel

Sets objectives and conducts performance appraisal for team
Meets with key customers regularly to build and maintain the relationship and develop the
company’s loyalty programmes

Analyses the performance of the territory and develop plans to improve on a continuous basis
Prepares Sales targets for all team members by sku, account, identify opportunities/ activities
and develop and execute appropriate strategies for meeting the set objectives.

Develops & implements Customer Business Development plans (CBDP) for customers in the
assigned area

Conducts trade visits to customers (in the company of Sales Representative and individually) to
represent the company, provides on the job training and coaching to the Sales Team, obtains

customer feedback, handles customer complaints and monitors and reports on customer service

and competitive activity

Reviews the accounts receivable aging report on a regular and consistent basis to inform
required follow up action.

Ensures that the Sales team maintains updated stocks and sales records on assigned accounts
Evaluates human relations and work-related issues to determine the appropriate solution
Identifies opportunities to grow the business

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A first degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or Economics
At three (3) years’ experience in the Hotel industry with an FMCG company
Training and experience in team leadership
Advanced training in customer relationship and selling skills
Solid sales and receivables management experience
Ability to speak Spanish will be a distinct asset
