Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the technical services function of the facility performs to support the efficient operation of the factory according to the Company’s safety, health, environment and food safety standards.

Ensures that --
1. All safety equipment throughout factory are functional and certified where applicable

2. All utilities in direct contact with products are treated according to acceptance criteria for product and processes.

3. The Industrial Services are operated, maintained, distributed and inspected in accordance with all internal and external standards, regulations and audits including but not limited to boiler, ammonia and water systems, pressure vessels.

4. The efficient conversion of energy, treatment of water and the treatment and disposal of trade effluent are managed as per regulator permits.

5. The correct safety systems and early warning alarms are installed, maintained and fully functional.

6. Appropriate emergency plans are established and that all relevant persons are regularly trained to handle emergencies.

7. Repairs to physical plant structure are carried out.


1. First Degree in Engineering from an accredited tertiary institution or the equivalent.

2. Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience specifically in technical/industrial engineering services, preferably within food manufacturing industry

3. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for safety, environment and statutory inspections (Factory Act/OSHAS)

4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food safety and equipment

5. Ability to speak Spanish will be a distinct asset
