PROJECT TEAM LEADER

 

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development, planning, coordination and monitoring of assigned projects, leading the preparation and management of projects in accordance with established policies and procedures.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed project plans and assist with ensuring that assigned projects are completed within the specified guidelines.
• Conduct a logistical and financial assessment of planned projects and prepare relevant budgets for approval

• Assist with implementing project management procedures across the organization
• Liaise with external suppliers and manufacturers on project specifications, guidelines and procedures

• Prepare and issue routine reports including project performance and evaluation and report to relevant stakeholders as required.

• Manage the development and preparation of project documents, ensuring that the correct tools and templates are used.

• Develop and update PMO documentation and templates as required

• Provide leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, acting as a liaison for project deliverables among departments and locations.

• Attend Project site to ensure deliverables are met within scope and schedule

• Maintain relevant records of communication with stakeholders regarding the various projects with a view to collecting and/or disseminating information relevant to the development and execution of the project

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• PMI Certification would be an asset
• Training and Experience in leadership and in working with cross-functional teams
• Ability to speak Spanish will be a distinct asset
• At least three (3) years’ experience in project management
