Objectives and Purpose of the Job:
To provide complete support to senior technician. To carry out Preventative Maintenance checks, service and light repairs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide complete support and assist with all servicing, repairs, monitoring and reporting of Warehouse fleet.
- To help to diagnoses minor repairs and service: including liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems
- Processes Work Order through Fleet Management System
- Performing facility maintenance tasks, routine preventive maintenance, and equipment testing as assigned
- To assist with electrical systems Servicing
- To assist with rebuilds and/or repairs: all components and systems in industrial material handling and other related equipment
- Perform routine and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to the manufacturer's specifications
- Reporting incidents, service, downtimes, and repairs
- Any other related duties
Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:
- Jamaica German Automotive School (JAGAS,) or equivalent trained and possess, at a minimum, Level Three (3) Certification in Auto Mechanics
- Knowledge of best practices and safety procedures in a manufacturing & distribution environments
- The ability to lift, carry, and or transport up to 50 pounds
